鄭氏宗祠設於城門新村村口，前身是城門公立通德學校。
鄧氏原籍江西寧都，南宋未有鄭鑄者徙居廣東惠州。鄭鑄十五傳鄭喜于清朝初年遷至新界荃灣城門圍開基立業。三百餘年間，該村人口繁衍。1922年，香港政府決定在這裏建造水塘，城門大圍遂遷至錦田，名城門新村。
